Your Writer: Jon Kilgannon So much to talk about today. Where to start?

I'll start here: Pindar Assembly!

Moving onward... If you're interested in hearing what I sound like, I'm going to be interviewed for the next Otaku Generation podcast. Be warned in advance, I have no idea what this involves. For all I know, I may be asked to sing. If that happens, turn off your computer and throw it out the window to save your sanity. Mark heard me sing on stage, once. It horrified five thousand people. Fortunately it was intended to be bad, since bad singing is funny.

Also, we have an announcement to make today. As you can probably tell from all the running about and gunplay, Miracle of Science will be nearing its conclusion in a little while. The comic's storyline has always had a beginning, a middle, and an end, and we're getting towards that end.

After MoS is over, Mark and I will be beginning a webcomic called Afterlife Blues. Like MoS, it'll be hard science fiction set in the looming future. It's not a sequel to Miracle of Science, but we think you'll like it.

Expect to see it some time after MoS ends. We've been working on MoS since 2001, and it's been in production since early 2002, so there will almost certainly be a short sabbatical to catch our breath before the next webcomic begins.

Your Artist: Mark Sachs Before I forget: Happy Polish Constitution Day! And happy Cinco de Mayo! And happy Yom Ha'atzmaut!

Now then, down to business. Chaucer's a real little bastard, isn't he? You may not have realized that until now. Also, for those of you who are fans of pointless minutae you may be interested to know that I'm now finally getting to re-use all of the random design elements in Casa Haas: the corridor Ben is following was also seen here.

I'm gonna have to confess I'm rather excited about Afterlife Blues. Though hard SF, it is going to be different in a lot of ways from MoS, and to make it work I'm going to have to exercise a whole new style (or try to, anyway.) I'm definitely looking forward to that. Just don't, um, expect it tomorrow or anything like that...

While we're getting all endings-and-beginnings-y around here, I should also note that longtime fave webcomic Casey and Andy is approaching its finale. I salute Andy Weir for his awesome comic and I'm looking forward to seeing what he's doing next!

Oh, and last but absolutely not least: New fan art in our gallery from Elisabeth. It's a picture of Ben. Go look at it!!
