In science news, researchers at the University of Illinois have demonstrated a quantum computer that can get results for a simple database lookup without ever having run. Wow, if we can harness this technology, some day I may be able to write software without ever running my compiler! I somehow doubt any client would ever believe me if I told them that, though. |
