(Jon sez:) As part of writing MoS I watch plenty of shows which detail police procedures, and read information about criminal cases. (And then I often proceed to ignore parts of them in the interests of better fiction, as is right and proper.) I've lost count of the number of times I've read about a criminal being caught because of something trivial, that "smallest thing." In other news, the problem with the RSS feed was apparently being caused by a typo or sunspots or the Saros eclipse cycle or something. This is why I eschew all technology, and communicate with Mark solely via very small cuneiform clay tablets affixed to homing pigeons. |
(Mark sez:) And so maitre d' Terry Iqbal leaves our story, and for the rest of her days she will wonder if for fifteen minutes she was a bit part in something much more important. Oo, profound. Ronebofh (or would that be RoneBOFH?) and Mark Barltrop both wrote in to gently point out that the incorrect link showing up in MoS's LiveJournal reflector was actually in our RSS code. How embarassing, but as the man says, tell me when I'm wrong -- I prefer being right. So thanks to them the link is correct now. As promised, I've uploaded the fan art from Lashan Lynn. He photoshopped up a mysterious image of where the story might go. I am of course not at liberty to say anything about how accurate the image is, or indeed anything beyond pointing out the obvious fact that "Lashan Lynn" is a really cool name. Finally, that 1500 terabyte memory card Caprice is holding is, given the current pace of technological change, probably not quite as big as it should be. A card that size using Millipede technology would be able to store something like 600 gigabytes. It's gettin' there. |
