(Jon sez:) I can't read this page without busting out laughing. I'm really easily amused. That said, I recommend that you read about the ultracool science of Haidinger's Brush. It (and I am not making this up) allows you to see the direction of polarized light with the naked eye. It might seem like this would require having another sense added to your sensorium, but it's really done by taking advantage of the peculiarities of our retinae. I've been working on seeing the Brush by looking up at the sky at dusk, so if you notice me wandering around and bumping into trees or moving vehicles, you'll know why. More info on the Brush can be found here, here, and here (in the PDF). |
(Mark sez:) I think we now pretty much know why the plague of mad scientists has failed to conquer the Earth. As promised, the fan art section is updated with one new item by Alex Panayotopoulos, whose name is worth 132 points in Scrabble, and one item from a few weeks back by Doc Nickel of The Whiteboard. Thank you, sirs! What else was I going to do? Oh, right, link to comics. Through a link back to MoS I found Everything You Know is RIGHT!, a story of conspiracy craziness in the looming McFuture. And through general wandering around I tumbled across Misfile, which is just cute darn it and has a nice Oh My Goddess kind of vibe to it. Two words for you: en-joy! |
