mansion on Venus without any lightspeed lag. Now you know.
The Martians can communicate faster than light (as seen on page 21), and non-Martians can also do so (we see the aforementioned Venus-to-Luna conversation starting on page 183), although - as Dryden mentions here - they have to piggyback on the Martian system. Haas has just had a eureka moment where he realizes he's been ignoring the implications of this... |

Oh, this can't be good.
As a side note, the way in which Dryden's head is mounted on an enormous swing-arm, so that he can participate in a scene without me having to draw his body, is really working out well for me. Can you tell? As another side note, I got greeted on the street today by a stranger who reads the comic! Does it make any difference that the street was in City of Heroes? Well, it was still cool. |
