(Jon sez:) I'll bet you wondered how Haas could talk to Dr. Juruna on the Moon from his mansion on Venus without any lightspeed lag. Now you know. The Martians can communicate faster than light (as seen on page 21), and non-Martians can also do so (we see the aforementioned Venus-to-Luna conversation starting on page 183), although - as Dryden mentions here - they have to piggyback on the Martian system. Haas has just had a eureka moment where he realizes he's been ignoring the implications of this... |
(Mark sez:) Oh, this can't be good. As a side note, the way in which Dryden's head is mounted on an enormous swing-arm, so that he can participate in a scene without me having to draw his body, is really working out well for me. Can you tell? As another side note, I got greeted on the street today by a stranger who reads the comic! Does it make any difference that the street was in City of Heroes? Well, it was still cool. |
