(Jon sez:) Today is Reaction Shot Day! Boy, does Haas look enthusiastic in that last panel or what? (It's a common mad scientist trait.) And Caprice seems to have been surprised in the third panel. (I wonder why.) Anyway, Mark and I attended Philcon this past weekend. We got to see a copy of the battleship Qin done in LEGO blocks by Phillip Thorne and we got to talk to a lot of very nice people who read and enjoy our comic. I had to moderate three discussion panels because the moderators showed up late or not at all, which was very amusing...for me, at least. A panel I wound up moderating regarding online economics was particularly strange, since everyone else on the panel except me was selling virtual items inside the game Second Life, about which my knowledge was limited. I got to play the part of the Doctor's companion for that one. (For those who aren't big fans of Doctor Who: Companions are stand-ins for the audience, and therefore don't know much about the galaxy or time travel. They spend a lot of time asking, "What's that, Doctor?") I also heard the word "PWNED" spoken aloud for the first time this past weekend. That alone was worth the price of admission (which, since I was a panelist, admittedly was zero). |
(Mark sez:) I met three fans! Next update, we'll have a photo of the Lego Qin, and two new items of fan art. So be sure not to miss it or man, you'll just be kicking yourself, at least until you realize you can just hit the "previous page" button. |
