(Jon sez:)

Your Writer: Jon Kilgannon When I was in college, I did the back-of-the-envelope math to determine how much energy would be liberated if my dormitory building was converted entirely into energy. It was roughly enough to evaporate Earth's oceans. I've kept that idea in reserve for years. Mind you, this was in the days before Google...it was, in fact, in the days before the Web. So we had to guesstimate the mass of our dorm instead of just looking up "average mass of dorm building" in a search engine. We may have been off by a factor of a zillion.

A reminder: Mark and I will both be panelists at Philcon this year. So if you're attending that convention, look us up. Mark is the tall guy with short hair and I'm the tall guy with long hair. (That will surely be enough information for you to identify us in the crowds.)

Your Artist: Mark Sachs Yes, as Jon said we'll be at Philcon! Wave hello! I'll be the sleepy guy.

So what is that thing Haas is holding, anyway? A robotic spleen? Table lamp of the future? An atomic 1-Up? Or maybe this guy? I couldn't possibly comment.
