(Jon sez:) Researchers have determined that dark matter isn't cold, but instead is warm. They've also shown that the Milky Way Galaxy is definitely more massive than the Andromeda Galaxy, making it the most massive object in the Local Group. One day, of course, Andromeda and the Milky Way will probably collide, making moot the question of which is larger. That day will be several billion years in the future, though, so don't wait up. Yes, I am the world's most massive geek. |
