Second rule of writing: Any character who even implies that he or she is invulnerable needs to be shown the error of his or her ways. In this case, the glowing blue device Dryden was carrying in the previous page was the agency for showing Caprice the error of her ways in the top panel. These aren't really rules. They're more like suggestions. Ironclad suggestions. And I'm pretty sure I've expounded about a dozen "First Rules of Writing" by this point. |
