The unicorn and rainbow were, of course, an artifact left over from the creation of the gun. It's an artifact caused by the nearby presence of a small girl - Caprice's sister - with an etching kit.
A few people asked in asking who the lookalikes on page 304 were. They were a sight gag of sorts; they were supposed to look a little like Benjamin and Caprice, so that the appearance of the real Benjamin and Caprice on the next page would be amusingly discordant. So. Um. That's it. I'm off to bed. |

I really like Benjamin's expression of strained politeness in Panel 2. I was very deliberately trying to echo some of the great facial expressions Kio Shimizu does in Genshiken, one of my favorite mangas. If you're anywhere within fifty miles of the Gulf of Mexico right now... well, jeez. Turn the computer off right now and get to high ground, you. |
