It's times like these when the CG works out so well that I wish my inking was a little less shaky. Oh well; this page still came out rather nice if I do say so myself.
My design for Benjamin's gun was inspired by this "radio train" picture from the old pulp magazines. I saw it in a book a long time ago in the pre-World Wide Web era and it made a lifelong impression on me simply because it was so darn cool. In Vernor Vinge news, here's a brand new interview with the man himself. However, be warned that it is absolutely lousy with spoilers for his upcoming book Rainbow's End so I would not under any circumstances recommend that you read it. |
