I was originally going to have Benjamin's phone be in his badge, but I decided that this - while perfectly logical - would force Mark to do a lot of unnecessary drawing and therefore was a bad idea.

In other news, the original version of last update's page contained the word "magnesium" instead of "manganese." This was because I had a typo in the script, a typo that Mark would never notice since it was the replacement of one word with another word which fit perfectly in the sentence.

We got email about it, and comments on Mark's journal. I wonder how so many webcomics can be filled with typos and misspellings if a typo gets so much notice. Their writers must be inundated with email.

In other other news: Mark said to me, "I bet people laugh at Benjamin for carrying around that ENORMOUS cell phone." This is a perfectly logical statement - by the year MoS takes place, in 2148, cell phones are logically going to be even more miniscule than they are now. However, I bet Benjamin built his cell phone when he was bored, out of parts he found around the house. After all, you can make a radio receiver out of parts you find around your house today. No, I'm not kidding. This is one of those things where I get to say, do try this at home.
