(Jon sez:) Rocco is playing a game of Wait, Wait, Don't Kill Me. This past Thursday I went to my parents' house, where my father has a brand new laptop computer. He wanted me to show him how to use some of the features of it. The features he needed to learn were: 1) the use of a windowing operating system, 2) the care and feeding of a nested directory structure, and 3) the concepts behind having more than one program in memory at the same time. My father is in his late fifties. The last time he had to use a computer was when he programmed a UNIVAC in 1963. No, I didn't make that up. |
(Mark sez:) There is, I flatter myself to say, a hint of Planetary in this page. (Although if this was actually Planetary Benjamin would probably have kneecapped Rocco at some point.) We did keep to our normal update schedule over Thanksgiving, by the way, so if you're confused about how Rocco got that shiner just leaf back a few pages. |
