(Jon sez:) We learn from this that some people - specifically Djaya, in this case - shouldn't be asked to extemporize. In other, and much more interesting, news: The Huygens probe landed on Saturn's moon Titan this week; you can look at a number of the images on NASA's Titan site, and the designers of the descent cameras have a number of raw images on display. Scientists also received sound from the probe, which ESA is making available as MP3s. I stayed up way too late watching coverage of the landing; the multinational team of scientists seemed very excited by what they saw, and with good reason. Among other things, Titan appears to have seas of tarry matter. |
(Mark sez:) Slightly redesigned the page today to deal with persistent and annoying browser compatibility issues too boring to go into. The page should be a bit more usable on smaller monitors now, also. |
