AI of course is "artificial intelligence," as everyone knows. In the world of Miracle of Science an AI is a simple conscious thinking gadget, kind of like an Aibo or Dick Cheney. It's an unremarkable part of everyday life. Somehow I don't think the comparison between such a device and a gigantic posthuman group mind is really going to wash.
