Don't bother reading the CNN article on this eclipse, because two-thirds of it is made up of gibberish from astrologers. It's the third millennium, CNN. You don't have to fill your science articles with quotes from flim-flam artists.

A bit behind the times here, but I found this blog post on anisotropies in the cosmic microwave background radiation suggesting events that went on before the Big Bang to be rather intriguing.
