Since our last update, an asteroid was seen coming towards Earth just before it hit. This is the first time in history we've seen a rock before it smacked into our planet. Luckily for us - most luckily for the people in Sudan, where it hit - the rock was relatively tiny and burned up in the atmosphere with a blast equal to a one kiloton bomb. (It would have been too far up to harm anyone.) More info can be found here and here.
