(Jon sez:)

Your Writer: Jon Kilgannon I put a bunch of background items in this part of the script, and Mark managed to make them all show up on the page. Go Mark.

In other news, Mark's link last Thursday to the very funny webcomic Vexxarr apparently pummeled that comic's server with eleven thousand visitors. I didn't know there were that many of you who read our columns. Neat.

Of course, I probably just dumped a few hundred more people onto the server. Oops.

Your Artist: Mark Sachs Hmm, I got nothin'. Been really busy, haven't even been able to answer email properly this week. Well, let's see... I don't think I've plugged The Ur-Quan Masters here yet (though I have on my LiveJournal.) For those who've been around the block a few times gaming-wise it may be more familiar as the open-source port of Star Control 2, one of the classic RPG-space-exploration-adventure-who-knows-what-all games of all time. Do you like flying around in a spaceship you get to equip yourself? Do you like the idea of uncovering ancient interstellar mysteries and saving the Earth? Does exploring strange new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilizations, boldly splitting infinitives that no one has split before, appeal to you? Then you'll like The Ur-Quan Masters. Available for Mac, Windows, and Linux, The Ur-Quan Masters is free and it's awesome, a winning combination any day of the week.
