(Jon sez:) When we last saw Pindar, Mark warned himself that he would some day come to regret having designed such a complicated robot. Today is that long-feared doomsday. In less-doomed news, Google now has a site where you can search Mars, looking for physical sites on the surface as well as the location of space probes. It's fairly limited in scope at the moment, but that's sure to change as new science becomes available. You'll need Javascript turned on to use the site. In news that is even less doomed, scientists looking at the dust recovered by the Stardust probe have learned that some of the minerals in the comet visited by Stardust were formed at very high temperatures in the solar nebula. |
(Mark sez:) OK, here is the page. Not colored, which I'm not happy about, but... at least we're moving forward. Special note to "Chris N.": Hopefully these water effects are a little more to your liking. :-) |
