(Jon sez:) Welcome to Page Three Hundred. I would have gotten a cake for the occasion, but I don't think anyone makes cakes sized for several thousand people. I imagine that the Guinness Book of World Records could get me in touch with someone who could make a cake that large, but that would run up against the facts that 1) finding those cake-makers would be work, and 2) I am fundamentally lazy. This page was fun to write. Rocco's anguished English is a blast to create. I write his dialogue in standard English and then mob it up just a little. Greta is easy to write for: She hates pretty much everyone, and has all the patience of a mayfly. And Henri, in this scene, is enjoying not being the low man on the totem pole for once. |
(Mark sez:) Page 296 is now colored, if you were curious. I got a little bored with the usual dreary dark raininess of Venus so I wanted to go for some dreary bright raininess, where the too-close sun's light is being dispersed through thinner-than-normal cloud cover. The result verges on rockin', if I do say so myself, so go take a look. So right now I have for you kind readers what I believe is technically termed a "bleg." Do any of you know of any anime clubs in the Chicagoland area? Less along the lines of clubs that are directly associated with universities and more that are just open to average civilians such as, oh, say, myself. If you have any leads, please do write in. It's been a while, but I think it's way past time to get back on the horse. |
