I sent Mark a script which said that Voltaire Field, the Martian base in the
hollowed-out interior of Deimos, was 2000 meters across - but that was quite
wrong. In reality, the irregular little moon is fifteen kilometers long,
and the actual interior of the moon is much, much larger than 2000
meters across. Fortunately, Mark caught my error before beginning to put
together the art for today's page. That place you're looking at, above, is
part of a volume that's larger than the island of Manhattan. Those ships
are huge.
I blame my error on the fact that I memorized the sizes of the Martian moons
for a college Astronomy course in the late 1980s, and I foolishly assumed my
memory was uncorrupted by time. Next time, I'll check my facts with
somewhere like The Nine Planets.
In other news, we got a bunch of very cool fan art this past week, but I'll
leave it to Mark to talk about that. He's the poor guy who maintains the
site, so he'll have to upload the images...

So let's get to it, then. We got these two handsome items from Indigo. And in what is almost surely karmic payback for our misdeeds, we got MSTied by uhright. All in all I couldn't be more proud.
