There is a rule - a rule, I tell you - that any work of fiction about
mad scientists will involve a beauty-shot of the scientist in question
posing dramatically whilst declaring his or her intention to take over the
world.
It's all part of the master plan we have here at MoS: Take the
standard tropes of fiction and rework them in novel ways. Make something
new and interesting. Get noticed by agent. Get multi-million-dollar
Hollywood contract. Sell out, pimping your muse to the movie studios.
Repeat until you die and your life is recounted in a VH1 special which ends
with the sentence, "Then began the tragic and inevitable downward spiral
into addiction and madness..."
Okay, maybe that's a bad plan. New plan: Make webcomic. Hope people like
it.

Fortunately the World that Haas intends to Take Over is Venus, not Earth. So, no problem (for us, anyway.) A few sternly worded UN resolutions should sort him right out.
In other news, we're just heading right up towards that 200th comic, aren't we? Wow, I wonder if there's going to be something special! (Hint: probably not.)
Finally: Next week, I shall be at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, one of the perks of being in this maddening industry. Although I'm going to be away on Thursday, I shall make every attempt to have the comic done in advance for you so there won't be a missed update. I feel kinda bad about last week, you see.
